Rosalyn Delivery Application

Improved Internet Drop Handling

Rosalyn has added some messaging, and updates workflows, to better manage the case where an examinee's internet connection drops during a Rosalyn proctored exam.

Internet Drop During Pre-flight

If at any point of time during pre-flight the examinee's internet connection stops working Rosalyn will prompt the examinee to Close the Application. In this scenario, it is highly recommended for the examinee to attempt to find a different, more reliable, internet connection for their next exam attempt.

Internet Drop During the Exam

If an examinee's internet connection drops during an exam, Rosalyn will now display a warning message. This message will include a timer countdown which informs the examinee as to how many seconds they have to resolve the issue prior to having to close the Rosalyn application. The warning message will cover the exam interface, preventing the examinee from being able to try to continue to navigate their assessment.

Configuration

Each Rosalyn customer (per organization) can determine how many seconds of time their examinee's have to manage an internet connection drop. Please contact Rosalyn support to learn more, or to request a change to, this organization configuration.

Please note the following information regarding this configuration:

  • Recommended and default time is 10 seconds.

  • The minimum configuration value is zero (0). When set to zero the examinee will have no time available to resolve the issue. The only option available to the examinee will be to close the delivery application.

  • The maximum configuration time is 30 seconds.

Examinee User Experience

If an examinee's internet connection drops during an exam the following message will appear:

If the internet connection is restored, prior to the countdown running out, the examinee will be presented with the following message and they will be able to continue with the exam:

If the internet connection is not restored, prior to the countdown running out, the examinee will be presented with the following message and they will be forced to close the application:

New Rosalyn Maintenance Page

If an examinee starts the Rosalyn Delivery Application during a Rosalyn maintenance window they will now be informed to try again soon:

Note: Rosalyn maintenance windows typically range between 15 minutes and 2 hours.
