Proctoring Statuses:

Important Note: Proctoring statuses refer only to the AI review process, they do not indicate grading of any kind. If examinees have questions about the exam, status, or grade, we ask them to speak directly with their testing program.

  • Pending: This status means an exam is waiting for the instructor or designated reviewer to review the proctoring results. Your examinee’s exam will remain Pending until you have either passed or flagged the exam.

  • Passed: Passed: This means the exam has been passed upon review of any flagged events by the program or reviewer. If you feel the exam was taken with integrity and any events did not meet a threshold for disqualification, you will set the exam status to Passed.

  • Flagged: This means the testing program or designated reviewer has determined that at least one Rosalyn-generated flagged event did not satisfy the provided Exam Rules. This means the exam was not cleared for integrity– how you handle a flagged exam (such as considering it a failed exam or any disciplinary action) depends on the school’s academic integrity policy. Rosalyn is not responsible for discipline or grading as a result of a flagged exam.

What do I do if an examinee believes their exam was incorrectly flagged?

Ultimately it is up to the testing program or designated reviewer if the exam is passed or flagged. We ask examinees to check with their professor or academic integrity office to appeal the flagged decision. If you as an instructor need support with an appeal process, speak to your campus administrator or academic integrity office.
