What does Rosalyn access on my computer before or during my exam?
Video feed from your web camera
Your microphone
A video recording of your screen
Your keyboard use
Mouse movements
Any connected devices, like an additional monitor.
Applications and background processes on your computer
Your internet connectivity
Does Rosalyn control any parts of my computer during an exam?
Prior to the exam starting, Rosalyn ensures that you have closed all other applications on your computer.
During the exam, Rosalyn limits your ability to copy and paste content through your mouse and keyboard
Do I have to schedule a time to take my exam?
No. You can perform a Rosalyn exam based on when iTEP makes it available.
Does Rosalyn close programs and other applications for you?
No, Rosalyn will let you know which programs need to be closed. You will have the opportunity to go back and save documents or close any web pages or open applications.
Even if Rosalyn doesn't warn you about some applications, close everything that might be connected with the screen-sharing, communication, remote access, auto-correct... anything that might give an impression that you are using disallowed advantage.
You do have the option to let Rosalyn close your Applications for you. But, Rosalyn will never do this without you initiating the process.
